One of my determinations for 2006 was to go to Trets which is the European & African cultural centre of the SGI in the South of France to follow a Buddhist course.
And I had the opportunity to go there again, for the third year in a row. It is always different but it is always truly amazing.
For the first time in my life, on an early morning, sun coming up and I was chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo in a room with about another hundred Dutch members that I had seen or not seen before. I realized very sharply very surely that World Peace is really possible. Never before I believed that. It was a wish but it seemed an impossible wish. Now I believe Worldpeace is possible.
Worldpeace now. Kosenrufu.
(thinking of the band with all these Amsterdam based Jazz Musicians from all over the globe, who sing this wonderful song with the same words)
On the photo you see part of the hotel where we stay when we go there.
If you ever get the chance to go to Trets, GO! It is wonderful, the food is great, the chanting amazing, the crickets are loud, but not as loud as all of us chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.
